Toronto, Ontario (April 28, 2016) – DealCloud, Inc. announced today that Toronto, Ontario-based GreenSoil Investments has successfully implemented its deal pipeline and relationship management platform. GreenSoil is using DealCloud to manage its deal pipeline, contact database, fundraising activities, and active investments. GreenSoil has been utilizing the platform since early 2016 and continues to build out new functionality to take advantage of DealCloud’s configurable framework.

GreenSoil is a venture capital and private equity firm with a global presence through offices located in Toronto, Ontario, Ra’anana, Israel, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. GreenSoil Investments invests in companies that generate returns through innovation, smart resource utilization, and efficiency improvements across the built environment and the agriculture and food sectors via two distinct funds. The GreenSoil Building Innovation Fund (GBIF) was launched in Toronto in mid-2015. GBIF is a real estate tech fund lead by a team of experienced real estate investors, green building experts, and private equity specialists. GreenSoil’s Agro & Food Fund was launched in 2011 and makes investments dedicated to innovative technologies changing the landscape of agriculture and food, primarily focused in Israel.

GBIF identified DealCloud to manage their proprietary deal review process because the platform could be tailored to fit the GreenSoil business model. Jamie James, Chief Innovation Officer for GreenSoil’ s Building Innovation Fund states, “DealCloud’s onboarding process is excellent. The implementation team worked closely with our deal professionals to design a system that fits our business model’s complexities and facilitated transparency across each office and fund. The platform allows us to look back at our data and extract valuable analytical guidance. In effect, the system is a constantly growing repository of GreenSoil institutional knowledge.”

The project was a collaborative effort, completed over a 6-week timeframe in accordance with DealCloud’s proprietary implementation methodology. DealCloud CEO Rick Kushel commented on the project, “We knew DealCloud was the best solution for GreenSoil when Jamie introduced our team to the unique business requirements that GreenSoil was looking to build into their CRM and deal management solution.”
