Solutions Engineer

The Solutions Engineer is a critical member of the sales team that acts as the technical face of DealCloud to our customers. Sales Engineers have the unique opportunity to apply their technical knowledge and industry expertise to help customers solve their business and technical challenges.  The role includes demonstrating DealCloud’s platform, creating and developing custom solutions, explaining the return on investment (ROI), and ensuring customer success after the sale.  The Solutions Engineer role presents unique and new experiences every day and requires someone who is creative, energetic, motivated by challenges and willing to work hard.

 

DealCloud is revolutionizing the private capital markets around the world with data, transparency, best-in-class technology and sophisticated service.  We’ve already made huge strides, but we’re just getting started.  The target market for DealCloud is the dynamic and growing Private Capital Market (Private Equity, Direct Lending, Real Estate, Venture/Growth, FOF and Institutional Investors, Investment Banks and Corporate Development arms of the Fortune 1000).

What you’ll do:
  • Help sales size and sell services and solutions by defining requirements, sizing, costs and preparing statements of work
  • Successful experience in working with sales and engineering staff to deliver high-quality presentations and information to clients.
  • Build strong client relationships and instill confidence across the organization especially with the program leaders and technical contacts
  • Build and own technical relationships while serving as primary client interface to DealCloud resulting in client retention and ability to be a reference
  • Utilize persuasive communication skills to ensure client satisfaction of program operations, integrations and performance
  • Manage client technical needs and strategies by defining requirements, sizing and costs.

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience from a technology SaaS company in technical account and project management role.
  • Personality and aptitude to build strong relationships and bonds with client base.  Experience setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Ability to work in concert with team members to build the most effective presentations that blend technical facts with tangible benefits.
  • Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple requests in a fast-paced environment, including timeline scoping and making trade-offs Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proven results on delivering and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work in a wide range of software programs that support our business (Excel, SalesForce, PowerPoint etc.)

 

 

Bonus if you:

  • Experience selling in the alternative asset /private equity industry.
